IPL 11 WITH CSK AND RR

        INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE(IPL)

IPL 11 WITH CSK AND RR
The Indian Premier League (IPL) , is a professional Twenty20 cricketleague in India contested during April and May of every year by teams representing Indian cities and some states. The league was founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007, and is regarded as the brainchild of Lalit Modi, the founder and former commissioner of the league. IPL has an exclusive window in ICC Future Tours Programme.

The IPL is the most-attended cricket league in the world and in 2014 ranked sixth by average attendance among all sports leagues. In 2010, the IPL became the first sporting event in the world to be broadcast live on YouTube. The brand value of IPL in 2017 was US$5.3 billion, according to Duff & Phelps. According to BCCI, the 2015 IPL season contributed ₹11.5 billion (US$182 million) to the GDP of the Indian economy.[9]
There have been ten seasons of the IPL tournament. The current IPL title holders are the Mumbai Indians, who won the 2017 season. The Indian Cricket League (ICL) was founded in 2007, with funding provided by Zee Entertainment Enterprises.[11] The ICL was not recognised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the BCCI were not pleased with its committee members joining the ICL executive board. To prevent players from joining the ICL, the BCCI increased the prize money in their own domestic tournaments and also imposed lifetime bans on players joining the ICL, which was considered a rebel league by the board. On 13 September 2007, the BCCI announced the launch of a franchise-based Twenty20 cricket competition called Indian Premier League whose first season was slated to start in April 2008, in a "high-profile ceremony" in New Delhi. BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi, said to be the mastermind behind the idea of IPL, spelled out the details of the tournament including its format, the prize money, franchise revenue system and squad composition rules. It was also revealed that the IPL would be run by a seven-man governing council composed of former India players and BCCI officials, and that the top two teams of the IPL would qualify for that year's Champions League Twenty20. Modi also clarified that they had been working on the idea for two years and that IPL was not started as a "knee-jerk reaction" to the ICL. The league's format was similar to that of the Premier League of England and the NBAin the United States.
In order to decide the owners for the new league, an auction was held on 24 January 2008 with the total base prices of the franchises costing around $400 million.[14] At the end of the auction, the winning bidders were announced, as well as the cities the teams would be based in: BangaloreChennaiDelhiHyderabadJaipurKolkataMohali, and Mumbai.[14]In the end, the franchises were all sold for a total of $723.59 million.[16] The Indian Cricket League soon folded in 2008.
                            INDIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 5TH T20 2018

Indian women eye a rare double series win: An unbeatable 2-1 lead already in its grasp, the Indian women's cricket team would look to extend its domination in the shortest format and achieve a rare double series win when it takes on South Africa in the fifth and final Twenty20 International on Saturday.Having already won the three-match ODI series 2-1, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team is 2-1 up in the five-match T20I series after rain washed out the fourth game in Centurion and the visitors would look to end the South Africa tour on a high.India have been quite clinical in the first two T20 games which they have won convincingly -- by seven and nine wickets respectively -- but a five-wicket loss in the third match kept the series alive for South Africa. The visitors had fancied their chances in the fourth T20I but rain played spoilsport as the match was abandoned after South Africa were 130/3 in 15.3 overs.A win will make Harmanpreet and Co. the first Indian side to have won two series on a single tour of South Africa. It will also be a huge milestone after having won the T20 series in Australia.India dominated the proceedings in the first two T20Is before they were brought to earth by the hosts in the third match and Harmanpreet have to ensure that there are no slip-ups on Saturday.Senior player Mithali Raj has done the bulk of the scoring for India with consecutive fifties (54, 76) in the first two matches before a rare failure (0) in the third T20I. Her opening partner S Mandhana (28, 57, 37) has done well with useful contributionsHowever, in the 3rd T20I, Harmanpreet was left alone to carry the team on her shoulders with a 30-ball 48 as the middle-order collapsed and the visitors folded their innings for 133 in 17.5 overs.V Krishnamurthy made an unbeaten 37 and 23 in the two opportunities she got to bat and she would look to stand up in case there is another collapse. However, the onus would be on the top order - Mithali, Mandhana, and Harmanpreet - to anchor the Indian innings. In the bowling department, off-spinner Anuja Patil has produced a breakthrough for her team in the first three matches and emerged as the top wicket-taker for India with five scalps. However, she conceded 44 runs from her four overs in the third T20I and she would look to recover quickly.Spinner Poonam Yadav and young pacer Pooja Vastrakar too have done well with four wickets each so far. Pooja had to fill up the big boots of injured veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami and the 18-year-old has delivered so far, taking wickets in each of the first three matches. However, her new ball partner Shikha Pandey (two wickets) didn't look as sharp and bled 30 runs in three overs in the third T20I.The South African women have largely failed to match their Indian counterparts in limited overs cricket. However, skipper D van Niekerk would look to draw inspiration from their performance in the third T20I match which they won by five wickets. It was a superb performance by seamer Shabnim Ismail, who took her first T20I five-wicket haul, which helped them to keep the series alive. Among others, M Daniels and Klaas have taken three and two wickets respectively.Opening the innings, skipper D van Niekerk produced some useful contributions but she failed to capitalise on the starts. However, in the last match, she and other opener Lizelle Lee blasted twin half-centuries to share a 103-run partnership and the duo will look to produce another good inning on Saturday.

                              ROGER FEDDER NO.1

Federer Smashes Records In Return To No.1 :

More than 14 years after he first became No. 1, Switzerland’s Roger Federer today returned to the top of the ATP Rankings for a historic fourth stint at the pinnacle of men’s professional tennis. Federer, who began his 302nd week at No. 1 on 29 October 2012, breaks a number of ATP Rankings records by replacing his great rival, Spain’s Rafael Nadal, in top spot.Just 13 months ago, Federer returned from a knee injury at No. 17 in the ATP Rankings and has since compiled a 64-5 match record — including nine titles from 10 finals — in that period. Today, he now holds records for the longest period between stints at No. 1, as the oldest player to attain top spot and for the longest duration between first and last days at the summit of men’s professional tennis."I think reaching No. 1 is the ultimate achievement in our sport,” said Federer. “This one maybe means the most to me [of any achievement] throughout my career, getting to No. 1 and enjoying it right here at 36, almost 37 years old. [It] is an absolute dream come true, I can’t believe it."Federer is guaranteed to remain at No. 1 in the ATP Rankings through to 18 March, but the battle for top spot between the Swiss and Nadal will resume at the BNP Paribas Open, the first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament of the year, which begins on 8 March.Federer returns to top spot for the first time since 4 November 2012, five years and 106 days ago – the longest period of time between stints at World No. 1. At 36 years of age, Federer is also the oldest player to become No. 1, eclipsing the record of American Andre Agassi, who last held top spot aged 33 on 7 September 2003.Federer first ascended to No. 1 in the ATP Rankings aged 22 on 2 February 2004 – a record 14 years and 17 days ago – for a total of 237 straight weeks until 17 August 2008. It breaks the previous record of Nadal, who debuted at No. 1 on 18 August 2008 and started his fourth stint in top spot on 21 August 2017 – a gap of nine years and three days. Federer returned to No. 1 on two further occasions between 6 July 2009 and 6 June 2010 (48 weeks) and from 9 July 2012 to 4 November 2012 (17 week)

u-19 30/02- A GREAT ACHIEVEMENT

                             U-19 30/02 - GREAT ACHIEVEMENT

U-19 champions: 2018 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in New Zealand from 13 January to 3 February 2018. It was the twelfth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the third to be held in New Zealand (after the 2002 and 2010 events). New Zealand was the first country to host the event three times. The opening ceremony took place on 7 January 2018. The West Indies were the defending champions. However, they failed to defend their title, after losing their first two group fixtures.

Following the group stage fixtures, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa had all qualified for the Super League quarter-final stage of the tournament. The other eight teams moved to the Plate League to determine their final placements in the competition. Sri Lanka went on to win the Plate League, giving them a final position of ninth overall in the tournament.
In the first Super League semi-final, Australia beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets to progress to the final.[11] In the second semi-final, India beat Pakistan by 203 runs to advance into the final. In the third-place playoff, no play was possible due to rain and a wet outfield. Pakistan therefore finished in third place, as they finished their group ahead of Afghanistan on net run rate. In the final, India beat Australia by 8 wickets to win their fourth Under-19 World Cup, the most by any side.india entered the final as the joint most successful team in the history of the tournament, having won the coveted trophy thrice. But Manjot Kalra's commanding 101 not out helped India create history.India had previously won the tournament in 2000, 2008 and 2012.This is the 12th edition of the tournament which started in 1988. The inaugural event was won by Australia. The team from Down Under were also victorious in 2002 and 2010. The previous edition in 2016 was won by West Indies, which was their first win.
England were the winners in 1998 while Pakistan were the consecutive champions in 2004 and 2006. South Africa were the U19 World Cup winners in 2014.The sub-continent team achieved the feat without losing a single game in the tournament. They won all of their six games including the final.Batting first in the final, Jonathan Merlo made a solid 76 before the India's left-arm spin duo of Shiva Singh and Anukul Roy sprung pulled back the opposition to bowl them out for 216.Aussies were cruising at 183 for four before the Indian spinners engineered the collapse with Jason Sangha-led side losing its last six wickets for 33 runs.Ishan Porel, Shiva Singh, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Anukul Roy all took two wickets each while pacer Shivam Mavi scalped a single wicket. In reply, openers Shaw and Manjot Kalra gave India a solid start before the skipper departed for 29 in the 12th over with India on 71. Kalra was then joined by India's highest run-getter in the tournament, Shubman Gill. The pair added 60 runs for the second wicket. Gill was dismissed on 31 by off-spinner Param Uppal.Manjot steadied the ship along with wicketkeeper batsman Harvik Desai and kept India on top of the game throughout with India reaching the 150-run mark in the 27th over. After a brief spell, where he kept quiet, Manjot again started to get on top of the bowlers -- starting with a towering six of the bowling off Lloyd Pope in the 29th over.Desai supported Manjot perfectly as India built another 50-run stand before the southpaw finally completed his century in the 39th over of the bowling off Sutherland to take India closer to victory after India's 200 came up in the 36th over with a boundary from Desai.Desai, who was dropped on 40 by Uppal, finally finished the game off with a boundary in the 39th over to give India the victory. This was also the first time Rahul Dravid lifted a World Cup.Kalra remained unbeaten on 101 while Desai finished with 47 not out
